I have been using these in three 7 gallon fabric pots for a pepper plant, meritensa meritima, basil, rosemary, and ginger to over winter them. The pots I purchased for watering work splendidly tho with my more airy soil type they run dry every 3rd day. Strangely enough the ginger had a slightly more absorbative soil and I haven't needed to add any water for about 2 weeks now. Build your soils to hold moisture and you get a longer lasting watering pot, but balance that with what soil type the plant needs. I also water the soil slightly every second or third filling. Great product Love that it's not as expensive as other similar products.

i LOVE LOVE LOVE these!! in the deep south, keeping a gorgeous summer garden can be a CHORE. especially before i had a hose! these wick water and keep moisture in the soil before it goes fully hydrophobic (which can happen in just a day down here). my baskets have NEVER looked better. the colors add a little bit of extra pop to each container. They’re SUPER easy to use and they’re a great universal size. They’ve fallen over before i had put them in the containers and they didn’t break either despite being terracotta. Great value and I’ll likely end up buying more.
